Hi, I’m Bear!

My job is to support the well-being of our students, faculty, staff and community members. Whether I’m offering a calming presence during a stressful time, helping build positive connections, or simply sharing a tail wag and a smile, my mission is to make our campus a little brighter every day.

I love meeting new people, making friends, and spreading comfort wherever I go. You’ll see me around campus attending events, visiting students, and partnering with Sgt. Jamey Dover to promote wellness and community engagement.

Some of the best comfort comes from Paws!

A: Absolutely! Bear loves being pet, but currently he’s in training and is still in that puppy stage. He has sharp teeth right now and thinks that everything is meant to chew on. Please be patient with Bear, and communicate with his handler, Sgt. Jamey Dover.

A: We understand that Bear is adorable. Facts are facts. However, please do not pick up Bear. He’s a puppy and squirms a lot. We don’t want him to get injured by being dropped.
