Mobile Deposits Made Easy

If you have a Mobile º£½ÇÉçÇøCard, you have the ability to add funds to your Bear Bucks account right through the Transact e-Accounts app on your phone.

How to add funds:

  • Open the Transact e-Accounts app on your smartphone and sign in.
  • Under the Black Bear Bucks section, click the “Add Money” button.
  • Use a credit/debit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay.
  • Immediately access Black Bear Bucks in your account.

Add Funds Online to Your º£½ÇÉçÇøcard

The º£½ÇÉçÇøCard Service Center makes it easy to manage and deposit funds to your Black Bear Bucks account through the secure Online Card Office.

What You Can Do Online:

  • Check your Black Bear Bucks balance and transaction history
  • Save payment methods for faster funding
  • Set up recurring deposits
  • Deposit funds using a credit or debit card

deposits For Students, Faculty & Staff

Log in with your UMS credentials to make a deposit using a credit or debit card. Don’t forget to hit the “Make Deposit” button during the process or your deposit will not go through (see below).

Want to add funds to a student’s account? You can!
You’ll need the student’s last name and Uº£½ÇÉçÇø student ID number to get started.

Be sure to click the “Make Deposit” button on
the lower right side of your deposit confirmation page and send yourself a receipt via email.

Failure to do so will result in a failure to deposit funds to the Bear Bucks account and a temporary charge on your bank account may take 1–2 business days to be removed.

You can easily add funds to your Black Bear Bucks account while on campus with cash or card.

  • º£½ÇÉçÇøCard Office: Visit during normal business hours (Mon-Thurs 8AM to 4PM) to deposit funds using cash or card.
  • Fogler Library Value Transfer Station: Deposit cash-only at this self-service kiosk, available during library hours and conveniently located near the Circulation Desk.

departmental mainecards (faculty & Staff only)

  • All new departmental cards cost $35.00 each
  • Departmental Cards are for on-campus, non-personal use only
  • Departmental Funds reset to zero at fiscal year-end (June 30th)
  • Annual Departmental Card application renewal is required
  • Fund requests cannot be larger than $500.00

Requesting a Departmental º£½ÇÉçÇøCard Deposit

To request a new Departmental º£½ÇÉçÇøCard or to make a Departmental º£½ÇÉçÇøCard deposit, please follow these steps:

  • Email us at um.mainecard@maine.edu to request a Departmental º£½ÇÉçÇøCard Contract form.
  • Complete the form and send it to Budget & Business Services at umbudget@maine.edu.
  • Once your contract is approved and funds are deposited, we’ll contact you to issue the card or deposit.
  • All new Departmental º£½ÇÉçÇøCards cost $35.00 and will be billed to your department’s chartfield. A completed contract is required for all new cards and every deposit.

Replacing an Existing Departmental º£½ÇÉçÇøCard

If you only need a replacement Departmental º£½ÇÉçÇøCard, you do not need to fill out a new contract.
Simply email us at um.mainecard@maine.edu to request a replacement.

  • All replacement Departmental º£½ÇÉçÇøCards cost $35.00 and will be billed to the department’s chartfield.
