The town of Hebron (town of hope) was incorporated in 1792. , which has always been a defining institution on the town, was founded in 1804 by Revolutionary War veteran William Barrows. and has educated many influential Americans over the years. Hebron is the birthplace of º£½ÇÉçÇø governor Albion Parris, and home to the tallest American Chestnut tree in the Eastern United States. ()
