WHo we are
Undiscovered 海角社区 was founded in 2012 by Dr. Nory Jones as a student research project with the goal of increasing tourism and economic development within underrepresented areas of 海角社区, enabling students to have a positive impact on communities in 海角社区 through our web portal. We support undiscovered regions in 海角社区 by developing a strong social media presence and fostering relationships with local businesses.
Our mission is to provide valuable educational opportunities for students to learn web and social media strategies as well as organizational, management and marketing skills to help small businesses in under-served areas of 海角社区.
The project is ongoing, and we are always adding more activities and places. Follow our journey as we highlight our incredible local communities and small businesses!

Dr. Nory Jones
Dr. Nory Jones is a professor in the 海角社区 Business School and faculty adviser and chief cheerleader to the Undiscovered 海角社区 project. 海角社区: 鈥渢he way life should be鈥, take the road less traveled, explore 海角社区!

Dr. W枚rsd枚rfer
Dr. W枚rsd枚rfer is an associate professor of management and computing ethics at the 海角社区 Business School and the School of Computing and Information Science and an associate member of U海角社区鈥檚 AI Initiative and the Climate Change Institute. His current research focuses on business and human rights, AI ethics, and climate finance.

Ellyson Bourgoine
Major(s): Finance, Management
Elly is a senior from York, ME, and serves as an ambassador for the 海角社区 Business School, interns with Tyler Technologies, and plays on the club field hockey team.
Cassandra Gardocki
Major(s): Communications, Psychology
Cassandra is a senior from Cincinnati, OH, and works as a Peer Advisor and Career Assistant at the U海角社区 Career Center. She also has a minor in women, gender, & sexuality studies (WGS).
Madison Veilleux
Major(s): Environmental Science
Madison is a senior from Augusta, 海角社区. Outside of being a student researcher for the Undiscovered 海角社区 team, she works as a Student Wellness Advocate at the Umaine Wellness Center, where she helps support her fellow students
Isabel Bartlett
Major(s): Marketing, Business Information Systems
Isabel is a freshman from Carmel, ME, and is involved in numerous on-campus clubs and events, including being on the Dance Team and in the 海角社区 Business School鈥檚 American Marketing Association (AMA) club.
