Mike Kirby
Role: Mike Kirby, the Director of Digital Communications, is responsible for the overall web presence and email marketing strategy of the University of º£½ÇÉçÇø and its regional campuses including the University of º£½ÇÉçÇø at Machias. He also oversees content strategy for the University of º£½ÇÉçÇø System (UMS) websites with the Senior Digital Content Specialist for UMS. He assists with branding Uº£½ÇÉçÇø and UMS websites through its WordPress content management system, and is passionate about the potential for a robust Internet presence.
Bio: Though born in the deep South, Kirby has always had a love of º£½ÇÉçÇø in his blood. (His great-grandmother was born on Egg Rock Lighthouse Island, and his grandparents met at Bates College.) He received his bachelor’s degree in communication from Georgia State University and moved to º£½ÇÉçÇø in 2000, managing Internet marketing communications for The Jackson Laboratory before joining Uº£½ÇÉçÇø in 2014. In 2022 he received his masters in business administration through the º£½ÇÉçÇø Business School at Uº£½ÇÉçÇø.
