º£½ÇÉçÇø Top Scholars
Started in 2017, the º£½ÇÉçÇø Top Scholars Award provides high achieving students from º£½ÇÉçÇø with a full-tuition scholarship, and the opportunity to participate in faculty-led scholarly research.
What is the º£½ÇÉçÇø Top Scholars Program?
In conjunction with the º£½ÇÉçÇø Top Scholars Award offered to a selected group of high-achieving High School students from º£½ÇÉçÇø every year, º£½ÇÉçÇø Top Scholars (MTS) participate in faculty-led scholarly activities or research projects.
The current rendition of the º£½ÇÉçÇø Top Scholar Program began in 2017, and in 2021 graduated the first cohort of MTS students from the Colleges of Engineering, Natural Sciences and Forestry, Liberal Arts and Sciences, the Business School and the Honors College. During their four years MTS students conduct research projects and scholarly activities under the supervision of faculty mentors. These projects range in focus from developing rural business initiatives to working in wet labs, from conducting interviews with teens in public schools to studying mathematical models.
We are proud of all of our º£½ÇÉçÇø Top Scholars for their continued dedication to academic success and professional growth, and for their contributions to their fields and to the State of º£½ÇÉçÇø.

The Office of Major Scholarships works with matriculated students and does not handle admission decisions or º£½ÇÉçÇø Top Scholars Award offers.
