º£½ÇÉçÇø EPSCoR at the University of º£½ÇÉçÇø develops statewide partnerships between higher education institutions, industry, government, and others to affect lasting improvements to º£½ÇÉçÇø’s R&D infrastructure, capacity, and national competitiveness.
EPSCoR programming has been a staple in the º£½ÇÉçÇø research community since the inception of the program in 1980. The NSF, NASA, Department of Energy and other branches’ EPSCoR programs generate long lasting impacts and sustainable economic growth for º£½ÇÉçÇø’s communities.
These programs are responsible for the establishment of many of the state’s premier research institutes and centers. Since their founding, centers and institutes have brought in additional hundreds of millions of dollars of research and development funding. This EPSCoR enabled research infrastructure also helps introduce undergraduates to research early in their academic careers and supports the development of graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and other early career researchers, which is an important consideration for the technology sectors in º£½ÇÉçÇø, all of which are in need of skilled workers.
