Shibles Hall
Mark Shibles served as head of the University of º£½ÇÉçÇø College of Education for 24 years. Shibles served as the first chair of the School District Commission, formed under the terms of the Sinclair Act, and he was instrumental in the consolidation of small school systems into the present School Administrative Districts. He also served as director of Uº£½ÇÉçÇø’s Summer Session. In 1971, Uº£½ÇÉçÇø presented him with an honorary doctorate degree.
