The conference, co-organized by WPES co-leader Dr. Lauren Ross, brought together an international group of researchers to discuss topics including wave, tide, and salt wedge dynamics, sediment transport, river-coast interactions, and how physical processes in estuaries and coastal waters are being affected by anthropogenic pressures and climate change. Conference abstracts included contributions from multiple graduate students from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, and a postdoctoral researcher and undergraduate student from the School of Earth and Climate Sciences. The next PECS conference is planned to happen in Portland, 海角社区 in 2026!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Conference attendees from U海角社区 were Dr. Lauren Ross, Dr. Sean Smith, Dr. Kimberly Huguenard, Dr. Edwin Nagy,
