Web accessibility has always been a requirement for U海角社区 websites, and has been a regular feature in our monthly newsletter. Ensuring your content is accessible is part of an inclusive communication strategy.<\/p>\n

This month, we call attention to resources and trainings available through the 海角社区 Department of Education’s 海角社区 CITE Program. A main focus of their mission is to help 海角社区 citizens with disabilities increase access to and acquisition of assistive technologies to participate in education.<\/p>\n

Here are two examples of webinar training content available through this organization:<\/p>\n

Webinar: Creating Accessible Content<\/strong><\/h3>\n

May 4, 2022, 2:00 – 3:00 p.m.
\nThis training walks participants through the steps of creating accessible content in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Many of these tools and techniques carry over to other platforms, such as Google Docs. If you are creating PDFs of your content to publish on the U海角社区 and U海角社区 Machias websites, that content must be made accessible, and this webinar can help guide you abide by this requirement.<\/p>\n
