It could be a remote piece of land or a new field of study, but if someone calls it &#8220;the\u00a0<i>frontier<\/i>,&#8221; you are challenged to explore it.&#8221; (vocabulary.com) Therefore it seemed appropriate to use that word for our DownEast regions.\u00a0 These areas include but are not limited to the following towns<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Westerly Frontier: Brooklin, Sedgwick and Deer isle<\/li>\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitbarharbor.com\/acadia-national-park\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bar Harbor-Acadia National Park (Mount Desert island) area<\/a>, which we do not cover on this website<\/li>\n<li>Middle Frontier: Sullivan, Birch harbor, Hancock, Harrington, Cherryfield, Milbridge, and Jonesport<\/li>\n<li>Easterly Frontier: Machias, Cutler, Eastport, and Lubec, .<\/li>\n<li>Northern Frontier: Calais, and Grand Lake Stream<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There are many beautiful preserves in DownEast 海角社区.
