The Office of the Provost advances the mission of the University of º£½ÇÉçÇø by supporting units in Academic Affairs, including the colleges. The Provost serves as the Chief Academic Officer and collaborates closely with the and her Cabinet, Deans, Chairs and Directors, and academic leaders at sibling universities in the .Ìý

The Office of the Provost oversees and supports six colleges, the Graduate School, Cooperative Extension, the Division of Lifelong Learning, Fogler Library, Enrollment Management, and Uº£½ÇÉçÇøâ€™s regional campus, the University of º£½ÇÉçÇø at Machias. The Office leads efforts in the following areas: faculty development, student success, student recruitment and retention, program evaluation and accreditation, institutional research and assessment, academic personnel management (including the tenure-and-promotion process), and various strategic initiatives.
