The University of º£½ÇÉçÇø community and the state of º£½ÇÉçÇø have lost a passionate visionary with the passing of Leonard Minsky. With his soulmate and wife, Renee, Leonard touched the lives of generations of Uº£½ÇÉçÇø students and º£½ÇÉçÇø people with their advocacy for the arts, lifelong commitment to inclusiveness and community, and dedication to enhancing the quality of life for all.
His alma mater is a better place for the selfless leadership and guidance he provided to numerous key Uº£½ÇÉçÇø groups, including the President’s Development Council, Patrons of the Arts, Board of Visitors and Alumni Association. Leonard and Renee were life members of the University of º£½ÇÉçÇø Foundation. Their generosity to Uº£½ÇÉçÇø includes the naming gift for Minsky Recital Hall in the School of Performing Arts. I personally greatly appreciated Leonard’s wisdom and advice.
We extend our deepest condolences to Renee and their daughter Marilyn, Leonard’s brother Norman, family and friends.
