will be received until 2:00pm<\/u><\/strong> on Tuesday, August 27, 2019<\/u><\/strong>, at which time the Bids will be opened and read aloud in Room 109 Service Building.\u00a0 Bids received after the stated time will not be considered and will be returned unopened.<\/p>\n

Bids must be accompanied by a satisfactory Bid Bond for 5% of the Bid (checks will not be accepted) which shall be in conformity with the form of Bond contained in Section 00 43 13 of the Specifications.\u00a0 The University reserves the right to waive all formalities and reject any or all bids or to accept any bids.\u00a0 Scholarships, donations or gifts to the University will not be considered in the evaluation of responses.<\/p>\n

The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond to cover the execution of the Contract which shall be in conformity with the form of Bonds contained in Sections 00 61 13.13 and 00 61 13.16, respectively, of the Specifications and shall be for the Contract amount.<\/p>\n

Bidders may attend a non-mandatory<\/u> pre-bid meeting at the Reynolds Center, University of 海角社区 at Machias in Machias, 海角社区, on Tuesday, August 13, 2019<\/u>, at 9:00am<\/u>.\u00a0 This will be the only time the building will be available for inspection.\u00a0 Copies of plans and specifications will not be available at the pre-bid meeting.\u00a0 Acquiring or reviewing plans and specifications prior to the meeting is advised.\u00a0 All questions related to the Plans and Specifications must be submitted prior to 5:00pm on Friday, August 20, 2019 to glf@frostarch.com and\/or cppmquestions@maine.edu<\/p>\n

Project Summary:\u00a0 The Project consists of the removal of the direct glue roof membrane and insulation system, and replacement with a new EPDM Membrane, Roof Insulation, and Decorative Formed Metal.\u00a0 Some brick repointing is included in the Scope of Work. \u00a0The project is expected to be awarded by the end of August 2019 with a Substantial Completion date of October 25, 2019.<\/p>\n
