Media share funding to U海角社区 for study about electrical grid resilience

, , and (Channel 7 in Bangor) reported that a University of 海角社区 climate change research project called STORM: Data-Driven Approaches for Secure Electric Grids in Communities Disproportionately Impacted by Climate Change was recently awarded a $6 million grant from the National Science Foundation. 鈥淲ith climate change, everything we expect to be a one in 100-year event, are happening more often and with higher intensity,鈥 said Reinaldo Tonkoski, professor of electrical and computer engineering and STORM鈥檚 principal investigator. 鈥淗ow we design the grid to cope with those events is a big research question for us.鈥
