Mariusz Potocki, research assistant at the University of 海角社区, was interviewed for about the impacts of climate change on Mount Everest鈥檚 base camp. The article cited Potocki鈥檚 that found that Everest鈥檚 highest glacier, the South Col Glacier, shed 2,000 years鈥 worth of ice in 30 years and has lost half its mass since the 1990s 鈥 and the worst could be yet to come. 鈥淐limate predictions for the Himalaya suggest continued warming and continued glacier mass loss, and even the top of 鈥 Everest is impacted by anthropogenic source warming,鈥 Potocki said.
