interviewed Ivan Fernandez, a University of professor of soil science and forest resources, about the state’s climate action plan, Won’t Wait, for a recent segment of “ Calling.” Fernandez, co-chair of the Climate Council’s Scientific and Technical Subcommittee, joined Hannah Pingree, director of the Governor’s Office of Policy Innovation & the Future and Climate Council co-chair, to discuss the contents of the plan, the progress accomplished after a year of its implementation and the next long-term and short-term steps to reduce the impacts of climate change in the state.
