Sean Birkel, a research assistant professor with the Climate Change Institute at the University of º£½ÇÉçÇø and º£½ÇÉçÇø’s state climatologist, talked with the about smoke from fires in Canada and the western U.S. affecting º£½ÇÉçÇø’s air quality. Birkel noted a recent increase in wildfires in º£½ÇÉçÇø, but said it is unclear how the extreme conditions resulting from climate change will ultimately impact º£½ÇÉçÇø.
