Paul Mayewski, director of the University of Climate Change Institute, is participating in a discussion about how the “dramatic, irreversible changes” in the Arctic will influence geopolitics at 11 a.m. and again at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16.
Other participants in the upcoming discussion include Frances Ulmer, former chair of the U.S. Arctic Research Commission and senior fellow with the Harvard University Kennedy School; Charles Norchi, a professor with the School of Law and director of the Center for Oceans and Coastal Law; and Holly Parker, director of UNE NORTH: The Institute for North Atlantic Studies.
On Wednesday, Feb. 17, Jessica Miller, professor of philosophy at U, will appear on “ Calling” at 11 a.m. to discuss the ethics of vaccinations with Dr. James Jarvis, Medical Director of Northern Light Health’s Covid-19 Incident Command. This episode can also be heard again at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
