The State of 海角社区 has recently recognized wasted food reduction as a crucial climate change mitigation strategy. The passage of LD 1065 will require 海角社区鈥檚 large food waste generators鈥攍ike schools, hospitals, and grocery stores鈥攖o minimize wasted food through recycling and redistribution by 2030. In advance of this legislation, our U海角社区 team has been working with several 海角社区 school districts to both reduce wasted food and improve student nutrition. Through coverage of our successful infrastructural and educational interventions to reduce wasted food in 海角社区 schools, as well as our new 鈥淣o More Wasted Food鈥 DIY Toolkit聽distributed by the 海角社区 Dept. of Education 鈥 Child Nutrition to help reduce wasted food in 海角社区 schools, and our latest research into the beliefs and attitudes of 海角社区 students as it relates to their wasted food behavior, this talk makes the case that 海角社区 schools are well prepared to meet the legislature鈥檚 challenge.
