º£½ÇÉçÇø the Conference

The º£½ÇÉçÇø Sustainability & Water Conference provides an annual forum where professionals, researchers, consultants, citizens, students, regulators, and planners gather to exchange information and present new findings on sustainability and water resource issues in º£½ÇÉçÇø.

Launched in 1994 by Uº£½ÇÉçÇøâ€™s Senator George J. Mitchell Center with a primary focus on the future of º£½ÇÉçÇøâ€™s water resources, the conference has grown to incorporate topics related to many of the sustainability challenges facing º£½ÇÉçÇø, including issues related to climate change, energy futures, agriculture, forestry, fisheries, tourism, and municipal planning. The conference attracts a broad audience of close to 500 participants from across the state.

Credits and Contact Hours

  • Drinking Water Operators: Training Contact Hours (TCH) are available for Sessions 3, 9 and 10 from the º£½ÇÉçÇø CDC
    Drinking Water Program. Sign-up sheets are located in the session rooms.
  • Wastewater Operators: Session 3 is approved for four Training Contact Hours (TCH) through º£½ÇÉçÇøâ€™s Wastewater
    Operator Certification Program. Sign-up sheets are located in the session room.
  • Foresters: Sessions 7 and 9 are each approved for two Category 1 CFEs through the Society for American Foresters.
    Sign-up sheets are located in the session rooms.
  • Engineers: Certificates of attendance are available. Sign-in at the registration table if you need a certificate for PDH
    verification.
  • General: 0.5 Continuing Education Units (CEU) are approved for conference attendance through the University of º£½ÇÉçÇø. Sign-up sheets to receive CEUs are located in the registration area.
