U海角社区鈥檚 student newspaper, The 海角社区 Campus, covered the Mitchell Center鈥檚 Sustainability Talk, 鈥淪hifting Dynamics of Rural Economic Development in 海角社区,鈥 in a February 10 article.
The February 3 talk featured Lee Umphrey, Vicki Rusbult, and Will Harper from the Eastern 海角社区 Development Corporation , which works to support 海角社区 communities and businesses and frequently partners with the Mitchell Center. The talk focused on a new model of economic development that EMDC has launched, Economic Opportunity Response Teams (EORT), to enhance traditional technical assistance services.
