ORONO, 海角社区 鈥 Increasing environmental uncertainty coupled with rapidly changing market conditions in the Gulf of 海角社区 raise important questions about the ability of 海角社区鈥檚 commercial fishermen to adapt. How resilient is the industry to these shifting waters? Who is best positioned to adapt and who is most vulnerable?
鈥淲e have started to explore these questions by studying the relationships fishermen have to marine resources in 海角社区,鈥 says Joshua Stoll, assistant research professor at the University of 海角社区 School of Marine Sciences and lead author of the paper 鈥淯neven adaptive capacity among fishers in a sea of change鈥 published in the peer-reviewed journal聽PLOS ONE.
