The event will be held live in the Fernald APPE Space (Stewart Commons 104) starting at 4:30pm on October 27, 2022. Gregory Howard will introduce Victoria Hood and Hollie Adams will introduce Lily Rain.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"http:\/\/english.umaine.edu\/people\/victoria-hood\/#:~:text=Victoria%20(Tori)%20Hood%20has%20landed,absurdist-definietely-fiction%20fiction.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=http:\/\/english.umaine.edu\/people\/victoria-hood\/%23:~:text%3DVictoria%2520(Tori)%2520Hood%2520has%2520landed,absurdist-definietely-fiction%2520fiction.&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1666711158501000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2fFkXKxCRzuOt08rmwDg9_\">Victoria Hood<\/a> strives to create work that can meld together the punk roots her parents raised her in with the disillusionment of losing her mother at a young age. Through her writing she hopes to discomfort, humor, and charm. She holds an MA in English from the University of 海角社区 and is the author of the chapbooks <a href=\"https:\/\/bottlecap.press\/products\/darlings\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/bottlecap.press\/products\/darlings&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1666711158501000&amp;usg=AOvVaw3uFpgyofFRZoje-C7QK_ef\">Death and Darlings<\/a> and I am My Mother&#8217;s Disappointments. Her collection of short stories, <a href=\"http:\/\/uapress.ua.edu\/product\/My-Haunted-Home,7974.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=http:\/\/uapress.ua.edu\/product\/My-Haunted-Home,7974.aspx&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1666711158501000&amp;usg=AOvVaw1CcqL_Ot-fEXOhtdhXeQp1\">My Haunted Home<\/a>,\u00a0the winner of FC2&#8217;s Ronald Sukenick Innovative Fiction Prize, was recently published by FC2.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/lilyrainpoetry\/?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/lilyrainpoetry\/?hl%3Den&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1666711158501000&amp;usg=AOvVaw11DPY3qU7jaEdQmbJQQKDN\">Lily Rain<\/a>\u00a0graduated from the University of 海角社区 in 2022 with a double major in English and Psychology, having been named the English Department&#8217;s Outstanding Graduating Senior. She also served as the poetry editor of\u00a0<em>The Open Field<\/em>\u00a0undergraduate literary journal. Her poetry chapbook,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/bottlecap.press\/products\/cry\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/bottlecap.press\/products\/cry&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1666711158501000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2SnGjVNzLE3MlFEuJpqFxY\">not a cry for help, just a crying out<\/a>\u00a0was published by Bottlecap Press in 2022.
