In this lecture, Professor Ernest Mathijs will trace the representation of rural, white dispossessed wanderers in film through the years and show how our understanding of property ownership as an identity-affirming value influences current political discussions.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Hunter Without Hunting Grounds&#8221; is supported in part by a grant from the Cultural Affairs\/Distinguished Lecture Series fund.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-5913\" src=\"https:\/\/umaine.edu\/mhc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/276\/2020\/02\/Poster-Dispossessed-Wanderer-1-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CANCELED due to unforeseen travel issues.
