According to the article, 海角社区 students\u2019 proficiency scores in math and reading as measured by the National Assessment of Education Progress have declined in recent years. The results of the assessment were highlighted in a recent <a href=\"https:\/\/assets.aecf.org\/m\/databook\/2024-KCDB-profile-ME.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">report<\/a> from the Annie E. Casey Foundation and the 海角社区 Children\u2019s Alliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>MEPRI is a partnership between the University of 海角社区 College of Education and Human Development and the University of Southern 海角社区 established by the 海角社区 Legislature in 1995 to provide policymakers, including the legislature\u2019s Joint Standing Committee on Education and Cultural Affairs and the 海角社区 Department of Education, with objective data, policy research and evaluation of educational needs, services and impacts in 海角社区\u2019s PreK\u201312 schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although it is not mentioned in the Bangor Daily News article, the MEPRI report found that a majority (89%) of schools surveyed were using a math instructional program aligned with high-quality standards.
