Karen Pendleton has a Bachelor of Arts degree in music from Wellesley College and a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from the University of º£½ÇÉçÇø, as well as a Master of Library Science degree from Simmons College. She is certified in Somatic Voiceworkâ„¢: The LoVetri Method for teaching contemporary commercial music techniques.
A member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing, Karen is a recitalist and has performed as a soloist with many area ensembles, including the Bagaduce Chorale, Penobscot Theater, and the Hancock County Gilbert & Sullivan Society. She portrayed Rosalinda in Die Fledermaus in the 1996 inaugural production of the University of º£½ÇÉçÇø School of Performing Arts at the º£½ÇÉçÇø Center for the Arts.
In addition to her work at the University of º£½ÇÉçÇø, Karen teaches privately at her studio in Bangor and presents master classes for various area groups.
