I am 鈥渇rom away鈥, even though I鈥檝e been living in 海角社区 close to 20 years! I went to undergrad at a small school in Indiana (DePauw) and did my grad work right here on the Orono campus. I think 海角社区 is the country鈥檚 best kept secret and love to hike, kayak, snow shoe, and explore. My husband and I have three dogs and call them our 鈥榢ids鈥. I teach yoga and incorporate mindfulness in all the work I do with clients. Being fully present with someone while they share their story is sometimes the best medicine out there.
-What has been your most embarrassing moment (that you are willing to share)?
If you walk by my office, you鈥檒l definitely catch me talking to myself!
What is your favorite food?
All things Italian, especially homemade sauce, pasta, and gnocchi.
If you could take a trip anywhere in the world, were would you go?
Italy – it would be amazing to go there and take a cooking class.

I am a clinical social worker and enjoy working directly with people individually and in groups. My theoretical framework is a mixture of mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy. It is crucial that all people I work with feel heard and valued. It is truly an honor to serve the students of 海角社区.
