Crisanne Blackie

Crisanne Kadamus Blackie is the Director of the Career Center. She completed her M.Ed. in Student Personnel Administration at Springfield College and a Baccalaureate degree at Hobart and William Smith Colleges. In addition, Crisanne is National Certified Counselor, Certified Career Counselor, Board Certified Coach, Distance Certified Counselor and a trained mediator. With over 20 years of experience in the field of Career Development, Crisanne has worked in both higher education and the private sector. Her business experience includes working for a student loan corporation and a technology company. She has worked as a career consultant, has published several articles and has been a contributing author to 2 books. Crisanne enjoys working with all students and specializes in working with pre-professional students especially those who wish to pursue a career in healthcare. All students are encouraged to stop by the Career Center to explore their options.

Abby McClure
Assistant Director for Employer Relations

Abby McClure joins the Career Center staff as the Assistant Director of Employer Relations. Prior to the Career Center, Abby served as an Admissions Counselor for undergraduate admissions at Uº£½ÇÉçÇø. Abby has a bachelor’s degree from Frostburg State University in exercise science; a master’s degree in management from the University of Dubuque; and is actively working towards earning a second master’s from the University of Southern º£½ÇÉçÇø in Adult & Higher Education. Prior to working in higher education, Abby worked in collegiate athletics at multiple institutions, after being a collegiate student-athlete herself. In her free time, Abby enjoys attending sporting events, reading books, and working out. She lives in Bangor with her fiance and their bernedoodle puppy.

Lisa Carter
Senior Career Counselor, Pre Law Advisor

Lisa is a Senior Career Counselor at the Career Center, while also specializing in assisting students and alumni interested in applying to law school. Lisa has over 17 years’ experience working in Student Affairs and is passionate about helping students succeed. She is eager to help students make connections between their interests and future careers. Lisa has a Master’s degree in Recreation and Leisure Services from Texas State University and is currently working towards a Ph.D. in Higher Education at the University of º£½ÇÉçÇø. She enjoys spending her free time outdoors hiking, biking, kayaking, sailing and skiing. She lives in Milford with her husband and two children.

Beth Campbell
Career Counselor, STEM and Health Professions

Beth Campbell is the Career Counselor for STEM and Health Professions at the Career Center. Beth has a B.S. in Biology and a M.S. in Marine Biology, both from the University of º£½ÇÉçÇø. In addition to her love of science, Beth is a lifelong educator. She worked as a teacher and administrator at two independent high schools in º£½ÇÉçÇø for over 20 years before joining Uº£½ÇÉçÇø in 2022 as the Education, Outreach, and Diversity Program Manager at º£½ÇÉçÇø EPSCoR. Beth joined the Uº£½ÇÉçÇø Career Center in October 2024, previously serving as the Coordinator for Internships and Experiential Learning. She is a Certified Career Services Provider and is currently enrolled in the Uº£½ÇÉçÇø Student Development in Higher Education M.Ed. program. Beth is excited to support STEM and Health Professions students in their career exploration and development. In her free time, Beth enjoys hiking with her husband, gardening, and spending time with her two children, cats, and chickens.

Benjamin Collette
Career Services Coordinator

Benjamin Collette is the Career Services Coordinator. Benjamin has an undergraduate degree from Western Carolina University in Natural Resources Conservation and Management with a minor in Parks and Recreation Management and a Master’s in Parks, Recreation, Tourism and Sports Management from NC State University. Benjamin’s previous positions involved various natural resource based organizations, five years in the Marine Corps, NC Cooperative Extension, managing a trails program for Wabanaki youth and now the University of º£½ÇÉçÇø.

Hello! My name is Isabella Gallegos. I am a 3rd year Biomedical Engineering student with plans to pursue medical school upon graduation. This will be my 1st year serving as a peer advisor and I am dedicated to working with other students by attentively listening and providing the appropriate resources through the Career Center.
