Lecture by Dr. Herb Emery: “…The Persistence of Lagging Regions in Advanced Economies”
Please join us in welcoming for his lecture, “Insights Into the Persistence of Lagging Regions in Advanced Economies from a Study of Manufacturing in New Brunswick and º£½ÇÉçÇø.”
Dr. Emery is the Vaughan Chair in Regional Economics at the University of New Brunswick. His lecture will focus on descriptive quantitative comparisons of manufacturing in New Brunswick and º£½ÇÉçÇø. He will highlight the potential importance of labor abundance, exchange rates and government transfers in New Brunswick compared to º£½ÇÉçÇø.
This lecture will take place on Friday, April 19th, from noon to 1pm in the McIntire Room of the Buchanan Alumni House. A light lunch reception will follow. This event is free, open to the public, and hosted by the Canadian-American Center. We hope to see you there!
