SUMMARY:4-H Intro to Artificial Intelligence Club
DESCRIPTION:The 4-H Intro to Artificial Intelligence Club will provide an introduction to what artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning are. This will be a 6 session series for ages 9+ that focuses on the foundations of AI\, including introduction to AI\, pattern recognition\, human versus machine learning\, AI in daily life and ethical awareness. Participants will take a closer look at how these are currently being used\, learn about what AI does well and what it does not do well and considerations for using AI. \nArtificial Intelligence has incredible capabilities. This series will reveal some opportunities and challenges of this emerging technology in a safe learning environment. In this club\, youth will explore this emerging powerful technology with guidance and support from 4-H staff. \n\n\nAges: Youth ages 9-18 \n\n\nDates/Times: Wednesdays\, February 25 – April 1 from 4:00 – 5:00 pm \n\n\nCapacity: Limited to 10 youth \n\n\nRegistration deadline: February 12\, 2026 \n\n\nRegister here! \nContact sarah.sparks@maine.edu for more information.

SUMMARY:4-H Ag Ambassadors Program
DESCRIPTION:Who: This program is for all º£½ÇÉçÇø youth ages 14-18. \nWhat: º£½ÇÉçÇø 4-H is launching a new session cohort for interested eligible youth for the º£½ÇÉçÇø 4-H Agricultural Ambassadors program!  The program is designed for youth ages 14-18 who are interested in any aspect of agriculture.  Youth spend time getting to know each other and learn both online and in-person in sessions facilitated by Uº£½ÇÉçÇø 4-H Staff and community partners. Sessions will focus on career exploration\, exploring the º£½ÇÉçÇø Food System with farm and production visits around the state\, and building relationships with industry professionals. \nThis season we will visit local º£½ÇÉçÇø Ag businesses like Libby Maple\, Yeti Ridge Farm and more. Transportation assistance for these events may be available upon request. \nIn addition to the multi-week session\, youth will serve in their ambassador role for at least 1 year. Youth will pick an agricultural area to focus on (ex. livestock\, ag literacy/food systems\, environmental stewardship\, Ag and health) during their term and explore leadership opportunities locally\, statewide\, and even nationally. \nTransportation assistance may be available upon request. \nWhen: \n\nVirtual Meeting Dates: March 11th\, 18th\, April 1st\, 8th and 15th.\nIn Person Meeting Dates: March 21st\nAg Policy Day at the State House: March 25th (optional)\nº£½ÇÉçÇø Agriculture Symposium at University of º£½ÇÉçÇø: April 19-21 (optional overnight)\n\nHow: Interested in joining? Register below. \nRegistration:\nCurrent 4-H members can REGISTER HERE.
