He coordinates Farm Credit East鈥檚 customer education and beginning farmer programs. He holds a bachelor鈥檚 degree in horticulture from Cornell University\, an MBA from the University of Massachusetts\, and a Master of Science in applied and resource economics from the University of Connecticut. Chris grew up in Eastern Massachusetts\, where he worked in his family鈥檚 greenhouse/nursery business before joining Farm Credit East.

SUMMARY:Start Your 4-H Volunteer Journey
DESCRIPTION:鈥淪tart Your 4-H Volunteer Journey鈥� will provide participants with information about the U海角社区 Extension 4-H program\, including key aspects of positive youth development and opportunities to help youth as a volunteer. The one-hour virtual sessions will also outline the application process for anyone interested in getting involved. \n4-H is a positive youth development program that empowers youth to 鈥渇ind their spark鈥� and thrive. Volunteers play key roles in these experiences\, making a difference by helping youth explore and discover the skills they need to lead successful and fulfilling lives. Adults interested in starting a 4-H club\, sharing expertise and passion through shorter programs that last a few hours or a few weeks\, or assisting with local county 4-H events are encouraged to attend. \nThe informational sessions are free; registration is required on聽the program webpage.
