Lotus discovers a unique capacity to see back in time prompting her to contemplate her place in the Universe. Lotus discovers a unique capacity to see back in time prompting her to contemplate her place in the Universe. While Lotus鈥 philosophy poet peer-group cracks the code on every current issue concerning humanity\, Lotus feels the call of a reoccurring dream she has of a dark-haired woman galloping on horseback under the Milky Way. \nCreated as a collaboration between University of Colorado Boulder鈥檚 Fiske Planetarium and Colorado University鈥檚 Theater & Dance Department\, together with a local playwright Rebecca Sophia Strong\, and local musicians it is a cultural program that integrates traditional stage theater with digital planetarium imagery. \nThis artist driven project inextricably links the arts\, science and technology and is a response to the growing sense of globalized anxiety in young adults due to racism\, climate change and a lack of聽a sense of belonging 鈥 we aim to inspire聽hope and agency\nin young people. \nPerformed in at the Versant Power Astronomy Center鈥檚 Jordan Planetarium by True North Theatre on November 7\, 8\, 14 & 15. \nSpecial School show booking available on November 12 鈥 contact the planetarium for details. \nTickets are $20 each.
