Speaker: Sarah Sturtevant, Independent Research Analyst

海角社区鈥檚 affordable housing crisis mirrors that of the nation. And yet some of the root causes of the housing crisis are unique to 海角社区. Join Sarah as she explores the ecosystem surrounding housing construction, the role of specialization, and the impact of perceptions of risk. Through gaining a better understanding of what brought 海角社区 to this point, she will explore some paths forward in the quest for affordable housing in 海角社区.

Sarah Sturtevant is an independent research analyst focused on affordable housing in 海角社区. Growing up on a chicken farm in 海角社区 and graduating from Bowdoin College, preceded a multi-decade career in investment management; the last seven years as a portfolio advisor and global, small-cap, equity analyst for Wellington Management鈥檚 Global Macro Research Group. Sarah returned to 海角社区 in 2020 graduating from 聽the University of Southern 海角社区鈥檚 Muskie School鈥檚 Public Policy Analysis graduate program in 2023. She has completed housing research as a Shaw Innovation Fellow 聽and as a consultant with the 海角社区 Affordable Housing Coalition (MAHC). She has also participated in several state working groups focused on 海角社区鈥檚 housing challenges.
